About Loc8mobile

Established in June 2000 by Jon and Dave Iliffe after over 20 years in Manufacturing. Their work involved contracts where their employees were on site, sometimes located in towns at different ends of the country.

Communications with site operatives were always poor with many excuses for delays or poor directions. This inspired the directors to invest in the new GPS Technology and early versions of vehicle tracking were installed into their fleet.

Since selling their manufacturing company and with over 7 years in tracking the company is proud of their latest products.

Case Study: A Cardiff Structural Engineering Company

We were totally dependent on employees calling in or being called on their mobiles to find out where they were or whether they had finished a job

This was quite often wrong information and in one instance their patience was tried to the limit. Three men were working in Leeds and were called late Friday PM, to find out why they were late.

They replied that they had only just left site and were in for a 4 hour journey home. This meant 3 men, times 4 hours, times overtime rate

During the conversation a visitor overheard the call and declared to the MD that he had just seen the van less than a mile from the company office.

Since having Loc8mobile we have increased our ability to monitor operatives on site and maintain much better communications. Also none of our operatives ever get lost!
